Sansumg builds new lab for research on displays and batteries

Samsung SDI Co. Ltd. plans a new research lab to work on next generation displays and advanced batteries. The company will invest 110 billion won (approximately US $84.7 million) to build a lab with a cleanroom to work on organic electro luminescent displays, CRT’s for digital televisions, field emission displays, liquid crystal on silicon displays, lithium sapphire batteries and solar batteries. Completion is scheduled for May 2002.
