Intel shines spotlight on industry parters

March 15, 2005 – Intel Corp., Santa Clara, CA, has handed awards to more than three dozen suppliers for their performance in 2004, out of its roster of 12,000 suppliers. Twenty-six winners of Intel’s preferred quality supplier (PQS) awards scored ?80% on a list of performance and ability goals, including cost, quality, availability, delivery, technology, and responsiveness. Another 17 honorees received Intel’s continuous quality improvement (SCQI) award by scoring ?95%.

(thermal interface materials), Elec & Eltek International Holdings Ltd. (printed circuit boards), Georg Fischer Piping Systems Ltd. (thermoplastic piping systems), Henkel Corp. (underfill and die-attach paste), Hitachi High Technologies (fab capital equipment), Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. Ltd. (components), IBM Corp. (computing hardware), ICOS Vision Systems (semiconductor inspection equipment), Kelly Services Inc. (staffing services), KES Systems & Service (1993) Pte Ltd. (burn-in boards and services), Komatsu Electronic Metals Co. Ltd. (epitaxial and annealed silicon wafers), Moses Lake Industries/Tama Chemicals (high-purity chemicals), Munters Corp. (VOC abatement equipment), Nan Ya Printed Circuit Board Corp. (substrates), NEC Electronics Corp. (pseudo SRAM, ASIC), Nikko Materials Co. Ltd. (sputter targets), Siliconware Precision Industries Co. Ltd. (semiconductor assembly/test services), and Tyco International Ltd. (components).

Recipients of SCQI awards for 2004 were: Asymtek (automated fluid dispensing equipment), Dainippon Screen Manufacturing Co. Ltd. (semiconductor process equipment), Delta Design (tester handlers), Disco Corp. (precision singulation, wafer saws, grinding equipment), Hitachi Kokusai Electric Inc. (vertical diffusion furnaces), Mitsui Chemicals Inc. (pellicle and ICROS tape), Murata Manufacturing Co. Ltd. (capacitors, EMI filters, RF components), Nichicon Corp. (aluminum electrolytic capacitors), NTK (grid-array packages), Securitas (security services), Senju Metal Industry Co. Ltd. (surface mount and lead-free materials), Shinko Electric Industries Co. Ltd. (plastic laminate substrates, heat spreaders), Sumitomo Mitsubishi Silicon Corp. (polished and epitaxial silicon wafers), TDK Corp. (components), Tektronix Inc.
