May 16, 2005 — Samsung Electronics plans to extend its silver nanotechnology to the middle-market home appliance segment with the launch of 70 new models this year, according to a report published today in the Bankok Post. The Korean manufacturing giant hopes to boost its home appliance sales by 50 percent, said Tae-Bong Choi, the company’s managing director in Thailand.
